I have a MM corn sheller I plan to use this fall.
I also have a setup and owners manual for it if you would like a copy.
What type sheller is it?
Richard

I'd go for both or either/or. Got a $75 sheller at a sale. about $100 in bearings and belts later it seems to work, but no corn-Shoulda planted some.

There are plenty of parts available to restore either one. I have a sheller and a drill and I use the drill more mostly because it's hard to find ear corn to run through the sheller. The drill will probably be an easier restoration project as most of these were shedded in their day. The shellers mostly sat outside because they take up so much room.
I suggest you buy the sheller at the auction, then email me and I'll sell you two drills that will make one very good drill.

I'd go all out and try to restore the sheller. Never know, may be in runnable condition. The way I see it, a drill may be more "usable" and could be used by someone that could put it to use. Not saying that you wouldn't put it to use, just saying that you may get more joy and satisfaction out of the sheller. I'd personally rather have one of those than a drill.

Saying that, it's your decision.

Have fun!!
