U valve covers

I am tearing down a U and it has cast valve covers. All of my other U's have tin ones. Any ideas?

MM used cast valve covers on their power units. They were probably out of the sheet metal covers the day they built your tractor.

Thanks for the info on the valve covers. I also found the rocker arms different and rotators on the exhaust valves. The heads are GE 30E. Is this combination used on power plants?

The same heads were used on stationaries and tractors. I have several cast covers too that came off of Us but Twin City used the same valve covers on the 21-32 and FTA, maybe some others too.
