Looking to buy a 1350 or 1355. Just wondering if anybody has any info or input on which one would make a better farm and stock pulling tractor.

G-1350s have internal oil pump, every 1000hrs. you will wear out gears on other end of oil pump and cam shaft. Oil pump gear you can get from White, cam shaft gear is molded as part of cam shaft so you have to buy the whole cam shaft. There is someone that cuts the gear off cam shaft and puts a new gear on cam shaft. I thought all G-1355 had out side oil pump but I found out some did not. White mounted out side oil pump where MM mounted hyd. pump on side of motor than they put an OLIVER rear end on it, hyd. pump is in oliver rear end. The G-1355 is a better farm tractor than G-1350 as long as it has out side oil pump. Hope this helps Larry

If your looking to collect, the 1350 is probably worth more because it's all MM. They are sharp looking wihtout a cab. I have a 1355 and it is a good workhorse in the field. It uses the Oliver over/under 18 speed tranny. It seems to be quite reilable. The 3 pt lifts a lot and it is pretty nimble for it's size. The cab is hard to get into with the wheels set in for 30" rows. For collecting either, I would prefer one without a cab. The cabs are sturdy but loud in some gears. The 585 is a smooth running engine and doesn't smoke like the 504s under heavy load. We used to use our A4T-1400 with the 585 bored and it could pull 8/16s with a harrow all year in any soil. Not real fast (about 4.5 mph) but very steady. Just my experience.

I once owned a 1350 with external oil pump. It is sandwiched in front of the hydraulic pump. I prefer LP gas. I recommend to do some homework to see what will work best for you. Some areas ban tall blocks in pulls. (If you decide to stroke an LP engine)
