I have 2 U minnie,s serial # on the one 06102055 and it has a cap on the top end of each intake valve, on the second tractor serial number 0194902485 there are no caps on the valve,s. Can anyone help? I was a little agressive and broke one of the caps!

Are you sure those are not on the exhaust valves? MM used rotators on some exhaust valves, but not on all engines. Then again, they might have been installed aftermarket.
I have a '49 U that has 1 head with exhaust valve rotators and 1 head without.
For more caps, you might call Wendell Everett 740-922-3335 or Welters 417-498-6496.
An automotive machine shop with the right parts books might help you come up with one aftermarket, also.

Don't operate the engine without that cap, it keeps the 'valve keepers' in place. They will come out and you will drop the valve in the cylinder. That could ruin your whole day.

Kelvin, I am not positive the caps are off the intake valves, the intake valve stems do not extend as far thru the keepers as the exhaust valve and so I just ASSUMED they were from the intake. The serial number for this old girl is 01210652. Thanke for now and any more help is greatly appreciated . tglf.

Try Sanderson Tractor in Portage 12042396448. They have done lots of Minnies over the years, and may have done yours.I got some keepers from them a while ago fo my U diesel. Your U is an early 1953.
