I was wondering what would be the most simple modifications I could make to a GTB gas tractor to make a respectable showing in a stock antique tractor pull. Etc elec. ign, bigger carb and so forth. I don't want to completely soup it up but just tweak it enough to appear stock but get a little more hp. Thanks for any suggestions. Karl

If you want a stock puller I would put 4209 heads on it. It will give you good compression but you won't have to run high octane gas. You could run it in the field with these heads as well. If you run any higher in compression, (like 4210 4213, 4206 or 4207) you will have tu run higher octane fuel to prevent detonation. Get the later style Y shaped two piece manifold. I think you may be able to get them aftermarket. Send your carb and governor to Matt at motec.
