Does the U use the TSX 97 carburetor or is it from a Z? I would appreciate if someone could give me this info.

The TSX-97 was for the Z series and engines of that size. The TSX-67 on the U to 1955 and TSX-624 for U 1955 and up. A later Zenith 14999 will replace either on the U.

MM used that TSX97 carburetor on Z, ZA, ZB, 206 (L-head) power units and v-4 uniharvestor engines.

The TSX67 is correct for KEF, and 283 series U engines and 4-1/4 x 5 cu. in power units.

Side by side, the TSX67 is a much bigger critter.

Jason - My "47 UTU has the TSX 67. Also it"s called out in the U series parts catalog.

I believe the TSX97 is the ZA-ZB carb. I think the U was TSX -sixty something, can't remember.
