We have just purchased a MM G 706 LP w/front end assist for restoration. We would like some information on the specifications of the tractor. If anyone could tell us how many G 706"s were actually made we would appreciate it. When we have researched the serial # it seems they started with 24 #"s but the serial # on ours starts with a 23 #. Would appreciate any help. Thanks

Kent,
You're probably looking at the engine serial # which starts with 236 for an LP 504 of that vintage. Look on the right side of the transmission for the tractor serial # tag. If it starts with 240 then you've got a 706 if it starts with 238 then you've got a 705 someone has swapped a fwa unit onto. The rearends could have been swapped at one time too if your serial number doesn't seem to match up correctly. Post both your engine and tractor serial #s and someone here should be able to tell you exactly what you have.

Sounds like a MM G705 LP Gas 1962-1965 by the 23# S/N or Someone mixed tractors. What is the S/N?
Either way not very many were made.
