You can also grind some weight off the pointed end of the wieghts. Do a little at a time beause when you cut off too much they surge and loose their mid range,(goes to full open too easly).

Adding a .030"-.060" shim between the spring and the thimble will improve response and give you a few more revs on top.

The big trouble with Moline governors is worn parts. Pay particular attention to the end of the pushrod and the pushrod mating hole in the lever on the output side - it doesn't take much slop here to really screw up the operation. If the thimble is rust-pitted you'll need to replace it - call Everett's.

it might, it will speed up responce time, and keep the carb open better than stock, but, from what Ive heard about molines, its easier to have the entire governor built, vs focusing on one part alone,,, Chad

Give Matt at motec a call, he does a good job rebuilding them. They come back responsive and you can get more RPMS.

Get one of them magic springs from ChadBS. Even if you put it in the tool box, you will gain 10 HP.

LOL, Nope, they seem to run without em. Look gentlemen, I never said a spring will give 10 hp more, maybe 2-5 cause the governor is more responcive for the mods done to them, but not 10. Build the carb, the governor, distributor, etc etc, you mite find quite a bit more, I know on my ZAU, all of the above got it up to 43 hp, from 38. And yes, I got a Moline too, and its a fine tractor! Have not got around to do anything with it just yet, other than pull a disk for the garden it sits in the shed and rubs prairie gold off on all the red ones. Chad

ChadBS is nothing more than a high school drop out that is living off his dad. He tell some big BS stories but has never can't prove it on the track. What was your big lie about the pulls you won? Over 1000 and you had proof? Another ChadBS lie. An IH H with 130hp but can only pull 4500 lbs class in 3rd gear? Go back to the pulling forum where someone might believe your lies.
