A while back I had posted about it not running. Well I tore it partially down and found out the cam shaft was 180 degrees off. I had called a guy who knows MM tractors inside and out. Should have done that from the start. Now I just got it running half bass. It's starting faster everytime I move the pump. I need to rotate one tooth now. I got rebuilt nozzles in it. When it ran it smoked like a factory smoke stack! When I shut it down, the energy cells 1 and 4 were warm and 2 and 3 were hot. Slowly but surely I'm getting there. Sure makes a guy feel better.

One crank rev did it. When 1 was to fire a valve was open and both valves were closed on 4. Put it together timed the pump and it runs great.

If your camshaft was "180 degrees off", had you turned the crankshaft 1 turn, the cam would have turned 1/2 turn, and the marks would have lined up.

Or to put it another way, every time the #1 piston is at TDC, the cam timing marks are either lined up, or 180 degrees off, every other turn of the crankshaft.

So you "fixed" a non-problem!

Sounds like your injection pump was one round off to me... and maybe your one tooth. Earlier post is correct 180 degrees off...just means in another revolution of the crank it would have been in alignment.
