Has anyone ever sleeved the bore on a 445? It is a 206.
I've had a heck of a time I rebuilt both top and botton ends of the engine. To find a leak of anti-freeze into the oil pan from the bottom of the block. I finally found a block .020 over so I could bore it to .040 oversize for my new pistons. I was ready to asemble it again and I found a crack about 3 inches long on the skirt.
I started looking for another block today but noone seems to have anything but blocks at .040 over already. Can the cyclinder be bored oversize put a sleeve in, and bore it back out .040 over? If you can, can you buy sleeves or do you have to make them?

I have a 206 in a Big Mo 400 that is .040 over that has a sleeve in #3 hole and its doing fine.

Joe, yes they can be bored,sleeved,and bored to whatever size you need , I have done several. Send me a picture of the crack in the block
and also one of the other one that was leaking. george
