I figure out what the problem was, the hoses which was made at the same time the ram was taken down, was made with one big end and one small end, and i couldn't swap them , the suction or intake hose or short one must have two large fitting, that run from the bottom of the res. tank to the intake of the pump. the other hose must have two small ends on each side, for the pressure side or the top of the pump to the top of the res. I took them back to the parts store were they was made up and to replace the ends, they wanted to charge me again for mess up they cause, also because they had the old lines to go from, i told them that they cost me 260.00 in pump and used res parts, the book had the setup back ward, Had to talk to the manger,It worked to my favor- in the end.

Are you the guy that has similar problems a few months ago?

I don't think the oil is your problem.

I don't know where the problem lies, but if the ram has been apart, I would suspect the check valves in the 'hump' on the side aren't working.

does the control valve kick back to neutral when you try to operate the ram?

What I meant was possibly the check valves are shut and are not opening properly when you send pressure to the ram by operating the control valve.
