Hi, I recently aquired my grandfathers tractor. I trying to figure out what year it is (I believe it is a 73). It says Jet Star 3 on the side of the fuel tank and it says "super" on side near the front of the tractor. It also says "WHITE" on the front of the tractor. Is there a year badge on it anywhere? I can only assume that White bought MM, is this true? If so what year did they buy them out? Any help.

You have a 1970 model unless there was some funny business happening with the sheet metal. All 1970 JETS,670's,etc. had this big WHITE badge plastered across the front. ALWAYS CHECK SERIAL # TO VERIFY YEAR!!! After 1970 YELLOW Olivers were used to replace under 90 hp MM tractors (G-850,750). 1963 was THE YEAR White aquired MM and left it pretty much alone until the late 60's; closing the Minnesota plant in 1972. This info alone has almost got me into several heated debates. Sometimes it's just best to drop the subject. YOU HAVE A TRACTOR TO BE VERY PROUD OF! Take good care of it and you will never regret it !

I have been told MM was purchased fully from White around 1972 with the last of the Jet Star 3 supers being made around 1970. The very late jets had white across the black band in white letters. We have had a couple of these this way.Your serial number tag should be on the brake pedal side of the tractor on the side of the transmission.
