335 3 point lift

i know my hyd pump is badly worn but should a 335 be abel to lift a 1200# round bail also iv heard a m5 pump will fit these tractors and give it more capacity anybody know???

Wayne,

A pump from a 445, 5 Star or M5 will fit on a 335.
The gears & center section get wider as the tractors get bigger.

By saying that they will fit doesn't mean that any of them will be a direct bolt on. Different ones of them use a different type front shaft, coupler and adapter on the back of the main PTO/hyraulic drive shaft. Some pumps shafts and PTO shafts have round ends with woodruff keys.
Some pumps shafts and PTO shafts have splined ends. There are also couplers that go from keyed to keyed. There are also couplers that go from splined to splined. There are also adapters for both spined and keyed that adapt to a larger spline for which there is also a sleeve available.
So there are parts that will allow any of them I have ever tried to mount to fit. You just have to find the correct parts.

My 335 Universal has had an M5 or 5 Star pump on it since the early 70's. It works good & will lift enough to lift the front end of the tractor off the ground.

Wayne,
First you will need to determine what you need on both ends. If they aren't the same you will need 3 pieces to adapt. You could get lucky & the original will work.
Either Everetts or Welters should be able to help you with the adapters. Their phone numbers are on the part places page on the MM site.
