went and bought a M504 LP today .works great but the previous owner chucked the grill at one time.has a f-11 farmhand loader (that must come off)mounted with a snow blade on it.put a couple of hours on it this afternoon.

my question is where is a good place to go to get a value on this thing?

any help is appreciated.thanks in advance.

Would you mind posting the serial number of this fine machine or e-mailing it to me. I am trying to compile a list of all of these tractors to see how many are still out there. There were also a number of M5's that left the factory with the FWA option. Either way it is a great find.

mine is all yellow as opposed to a two tone brown and yellow (like the picture of the one on this website).

how many have you located so far?from what i have found in the past week they only made thirty and twenty were deisels.

i was actually going to look at a 604 when i came across this one,how many of these are out there?

I know of 4 or 5 LP M504's and 7 Diesels. But there are more M5 FWA's out there than M504's. That is why the serial number is so important.

My gas model was the same way. Don't be discouraged. It is still a very valuable tractor and very hard to find.

thanks mike i appreciate your help and knowledge on the subject.i plan on hanging on to it so the extra info is great. i work with some very avid MM and oliver collectors.in fact one of them actually delivered this tractor when it was new. do you know approx how many of these were made?in the current price books the M5 and M504 are listed together.did they use a differant decal sets for the MFWD M5 and the M504?

The actual production numbers of M5 FWA's are unknown. Some were dealer conversions and some were factory jobs, so it is hard to say. I don't think it would be too many more on either side of M504 production numbers. Some dealers also installed these same front ends on Big Mo's, U302's, 5-Stars,4-Stars, and a few others. The decals should be the same as an M504 with the exception of the actual "M504" decal being substituted with an M5 decal. I hope this helps.

this one is in montana .

i am trying to determine it"s market value with some help from the vast wealth of MM knowledge on this forum.

what i paid for it could in no way be construed as an informed decission (just ask my lovely wife:)or representative of what the market would bear.

If you paid less than $5000.00 for a good running 504 your wife should confer upon you the honors befitting a man who just made the deal of deals. Congratulations, and happy MM 4whl driving.

I can't help you on your question but I do know the M504LP are rare and relatively valuable. I have a question, are you interested in selling the loader you are removing. I might be interested in purchasing it for my M670. If you are interested in selling please email me with your price and where you are located.

Thanks.
