I have an R with 9x38 rims, do any of you guys know if an 11.2, 38 tire will fit this rim.

As I recall the very early 9.00-38 became 11-38 which became 12.4-38. The 10-38 became 11.2-38 and the 9-38 became 9.5-38. So if what you had was really a 9-38 (not a 9.00-38) you might be a little large while if you had a 9.00-38 you might be a little small. Check M.E.Miller Tire site - they have info. But you might also be interested in MM R Parts book circa 1949 which shows 9-38 (on 10A1799 rim), 10-38 (on 10A1508 rim) and 11-38 Rice/Cane (on 10A372 rim) as well as 9-36 and 10-34 as options on R, so probably you could use any of the above. Earlier parts book shows 8-36, 9-36, 9-38, 10-38 and 5-40 or 6-40 duals - boy would I like to have the duals.
