If a dealer would put a 403 motor in a U or a UB wouldn't this be a replacement part? You should be allowed to use the tall jugs right?

Dream on - Its not in the parts book - too much power for Trans / Rear End of U - if dealer put it in, it would have no doubt voided any warranty - not to say it wasn't done - just not sanctioned. Also U parts continued to be available since 425 was simply a 6 cylinder version of 283 so not much legitimate reason to make the substitution.

If it was in the parts book for the UB it would probably be OK.But depending on your rules it won't fly where I pull.There is a way around it though.
