I found a 604 with 4 wheel drive. Runs ok and the sheetmetal is straight. What should I look for? Any problem areas? Is it worth $1000.

Grab it before it's gone. I'd look for welds on the front axle.

I know of a M504 that sold three years ago at a farm sale near Rush Center,Ks that sold for over $5000. It needed a little work too if I remember right.

The 604 only came as a 4WD. The 602 is the 2WD
version. You have found a rare one as I believe
only around 150 were built. As Kelvin said, it may
be worth more then $1000, much more. I'd grab it
fast. They came in gas, LPG and diesel. If you're
real lucky it's a LPG model, super rare.
