Hello guys i started working on my uts diesel this fall got her back together last week had the clutch refaced put it in adjusted it up got the tractor running ran darn good for no more than i done to it. Went to take her down the road in 4th gear got her up to speed and went to shift to 5th just as the clutch was about to snap it the lever just went limp no clutch at all wouldnt engage wouldnt disengage well finally got it to quit rolling on me went over to pump and shut it off went back to the seat and had a clutch then. Got back to the shed and it done ita again on me ive had the clutch adjusting ring off of it in the tractor thought something might be in there but it was clean it only does it when you go to shift into fifth you just loose the clutch it does nothing but it works great in all the other gears any ideas i am stumped have no idea what is wrong with it anyone else on here have a problem like this and if so what do ya gotta do to fix it?? thanks sorry about the long message thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I've never had that problem, but since you say it only happens when you shift to 5th gear, I'm wondering if something is wrong with the clutch shaft, pinion shaft, or the bearings they ride on. I'm thinking when you shift to 5th, the shifter fork only slides a collar that locks the pinion shaft and clutch shaft together.

On the other hand, I've seen one of those UTSD clutches (It was broken) and its a whole different thing from any other MM hand clutch.
