Purchased a 335 with backhoe and loader. Upon removing the head one of the cylinder walls was cracked. The block still held antifreeze but an exhaust valve was open and the cylinder filled with water. Are parts available or is this a parts tractor?

If it were mine, I would see if a machine shop could re-sleeve that cylinder and bore it back to fit your old piston. Course you have to take it apart to get the block out. I've got a 206 engine with a repair sleeve in 1 cylinder and some larger engines with repair sleeves that have given no problems.

I know rings and bearings are no problem. Don't know about pistons, or even if you need new pistons.
At worst case senario you can install a complete 206 engine (like the 445 used) or you can install 206 crank, blocks rods and pistons and use your old crankcase and heads. I do know 206 oversize pistons are available.

SloMo, I don't have any personal experience hopping up 206 (445) engines.

I understand from reading this board that you can go from the standard 2-5/8" bore to 2-3/4+.060 most times without problems, and I think pistons are available to do this. I say 'most times' because you'd be cutting almost 1/8" out of the cylinder wall and may hit water.
