THANKS FOR THE INFO KELVIN. IT LOOKS LIKE IF I UNHOOK THE THREE POINT ARMS THERE IS FOUR BOLTS THAT HOLD THE LIFT ARM UNIT ON. IF I TAKE OFF THE BOLTS WILL THE UNIT LIFT OFF? IS THERE A GASKET THERE? THANKS AGAIN. JACK

Yes, the 4 bolts hold the reservoir to the transmission case. there is also a plate covering the top of the transmission. I know that plate has a gasket. (I've been told the replacement gasket is special, has metal around the bolt holes to stiffen the 3-point mounting)

Here's where the trouble comes: you have to drain the 3-point (plug should be on the right side of the housing, behind the control levers. May have a setscrew in it like a 335 does. This will not get all the oil. some will probably still run out when you lift the 3-point off the transmission.

The 445 pump is plumbed through passages in the transmission case, but does not share oil with the transmission. I'm thinking the intake will have a rubber doughnut affair about 1/2-5/8" long. the pressure side will have a steel sleeve with an o-ring at each end to seal the reservoir to the transmission case.

Welter's 417-498-6496 or Everett 740-922-3335 can help you with the o-rings, 'doughnut'and transmission gasket.

There is a "spacer" piece of metal on each rear corner between the casting and the 3 point. Make sure they go back in with the new gasket and o ring seals for the hyd passages. The metal may appear to be part of the gasket, but they are seperate pieces. Hope this helps. What part of IA are you in? John

The only way to tell is to take the top off the transmission and look inside. And you'll have to remove the 3-point if it has one. This makes it a big job even if the fix is simple.

Hopefully the roll pins or groove pins just sheared where the yokes mount on the pto lever.
