I have a jet star 2 I'm trying to restore and I'm looking for help locating a new or refurbished steering wheel for it as well as seat cushions (metal frame is good), someone to rebuild the gauges, I've found replacements on EBay, but they have white needles! It's hard enough for us old folks to see the black on white.
Lastly, sheetmetal: I need the top and right side hood pieces.
Thanks in advance, I'm new at this but so far everyone has been very helpful in responding to my questions and needs.

Value Built can modify a steering wheel to fit if you give dimensions, but it won't be exactly like the original. Minn-Kota repair can repair your old wheel, but I don't have their phone # handy.

Check with Antique gauges, Cordova MD 410-822-4963. I think their MM gauges have black needles.

There was a guy on Ebay selling MM seats, should be able to hook up with him. If not, he was selling cushions for Massey Fergusons too so look there.

Good luck on the hood parts. I've been looking for a good hood off and on for quite a while. Looks like I will have to get the latch and prop rod welded into a 445 hood.

Are you the Floyd Self in NC?

Kelvin, I"m west of Austin Texas, so I"m a different one. Don"t hear either name very much, so I"m surprised there is another Floyd Self out there.
Thank you for all the good information. I"ve received emails responses that the 445 utility is the only other tractor with the same sheetmetal, although a few other "appear" to be the same they won"t work.
I"ll follow up with the steering wheel places and I saw the replacement seats for my G-1000 on Ebay, but he says he doesn"t have one for the Jet Star. Maybe he doesn"t know he has one!
I saw those gauges too, but the white needles are hard to see and my old gauges have the black needle with white background. I"ll go for the rebuilds if they aren"t totally out of sight.

Thanks again! Maybe I can help you find something here in Texas if you give me a hollar. I"m the biggest rusty metal hound around here.

Floyd

Actually, I don't know if the NC fellow's first name is Floyd. I just knew him as Mr. Self and he used to show a really nice MM ZAU at Big Ed's Little Engine Show in Newton, NC, back when Big Ed had shows on his place.

He had a rollback tractor hauler that was Prairie Gold, too.

www.minnkotarepair.com is the wheel place, Antique Gauges Inc is the gauge place, white with black needles temp, zone or #s-$60, oil-$40, amp-$40. Speer Cushion Co 1-800-525-8156 for seat, they have excellent quality. These suppliers and more are listed in the MM Corresponder, some are listed on the MM unofficialsite. John

Thanks for the advice. These suppliers do great work and the gauges match perfect.
