Did MM every make a small diesel, like in the 30 HP range? Something that would have competed with the Oliver 550 and Deere 435?

MM made a very limited run of the 445 diesel. I am thinking that would be around the 40-50 hp range. They are hard to find, I have only seen one.

The Minneapolis-Moline G350 and G450 were the smallest diesels. They were manufactured by Fiat in Italy for Minneapolis-Moline. I have never actually seen one.

S&H Farm Supply at Lockwood, Mo. has a G350 on their lot first one I've seen.

The G350 would be about the same size as a Jetstar diesel with the Jetstar having a little more pto hp. The G450 was rated over 50 hp. I personally don't consider them MM's just Fiat's painted yellow or green in the case of the Oliver's.

I bought and have been plowing and harrowing and planting with a MM G450 for a couple of years, and wondered what the hp rating was for it. But it does okay for a small acreage, with a two bottom plow as long as everything is adjusted correctly; i.e. the trim on the plow,etc. I wondered what the PTO hp rating is, and need to rebuild the pto shuttle, which works fine to disengage but you have to start the tractor with the PTO engaged with engine or transmission to operate pto equipment. This working tractor is the only mm G450 I have seen. Older MM's wer fairly common years ago in the larger models.

The smallest MM diesel I can think of would be a Jetstar diesel. I was in the 40 hp range.
