Kevin and Mopower I got the GTC in the shop and have started. The casting numbers are as follows. 10A4207 on Head 10A2800 on the Blocks and 10A1700 on the Crank case. The engine Tag serial is 04001101. I want to know if this is the same as a regular G or if different because of GTC designation. Also which service manual is best the one offered originally , I&T, or some other. Also need complete wiring harness. Cows digested most of this one. Thanks fellas, I'll post pictures as soon as I get a geek in heyer!

The block numbers for 340-4 and 340A-4 LP s/b 10B2800 and 11B1700 (suspect same as 10A2800 and 10A1700) vs 10B150A and 11B1701 for 403A-4 and 403C-4 gas motor - send me an e-mail off line and if you only need a few pages I can FAX to you.

try to get MM Repair catalog R-1108 B - there may be a later revision (greater than B) but the B applies to GTB, GTBD, and GTC tractors - specifically GTC s/n 04700001 to 04701101 with 340-4 and 340A-4 engine 04000001 to 04001107. maybe Welters or Jennsales. Book shows Heads were GE30T for LP from sea level to 8000 feet and above. I believe the GE30T or 5030T cross references to 10A4207

I & T manual is what I use but it leaves a lot of questions open and unanswered. But it does give the basics for a person to stumble though. I do anyway.
