445 Blocks

I think I have discovered why the anti-freeze is getting in my oil on my 445.
It looks as though the block nearest the gas tank is leaking by either a hole or a crack ( maybe something else).
Can I just remove the back block to investagate the leak or do I have to remove the front block too? I am asking this because, it seemed that I had both blocks togther when we lifted them in the first time. But now after thinking about it,it looks to me as though you could maybe just take the head,pistons and the block off of the one side.
I hope this makes sence.
Has anyone done this before?

You could take just on block off if only there wasn"t the water tube that hooks both blocks together. The heads will be able to be done separately as long as you take the adapter plate on top of them off first. If one block has to come off then both of them will have to.

The heads have a water tube between them so they have to come off together, too.
