We have been asked to run gas to a Minneapolis Moline powered standby generator. It is set up for a vapor gasb but we do not know if it was L.P. or natural gas. Can anyone tell us if you can run this motor on natural gas.

Model #HD605-6A
Serial #34200407

Thanks

Dick

The engine can be run on natural gas, our fleet used natural gas powered cars and trucks, the only problem you would have in our natural gas distribution area would be getting enough pressure to run it. If you are a commercial user, no problem, but they don't really want to supply more than 1/2 psi to the residential customer. It can be done tho.

Yes,but if it has impco carb.and was on Lp you will have to change diapam in carb ,if it has a vaporizer/converter on it with engine coolant flowing thru it then it was on lpg , it will run on either type gas just little deferences in fuel delivery system.
