my uncle has BG and needs an overhaul kit especially main bearings. I can't find any info on this tractor, so any info would be apreciated. I'm clueless about molines,I have red tractors.

The engine is a Hercules IXB3, or an IXB3SL. (SL=sleeved engine;I don't know what the differences are.)There should be a tag on the right side of the block below the air cleaner and the oil filter canister.

Parts are not that easy to come by. But may be actually easier to get now.

Your best bet for new parts is Zimmerman Oliver/Cletrac, 717-738-2573 the same engine found its way into the Oliver OC-3 crawler.

They rebuilt my water pump and sold me a replacement side cover where the drain plug goes in the block and I was well pleased.

Another good source for parts is Bill Williams, Baldwyn MS. 662-728-3747 He may have new parts, and I know he's a good source for used. He also had a grille screen when I restored Mother's BG.
