My wife says there's nothing we own that runs as smooth and sounds as throaty as her old stock '47 UTU. (I bought it for myself during a case of tractoritis, but she took it from me as her own.) My 450LP Farmall sounds different than her U even though they are both within a couple of cubic inches of eachother and run factory propane. Even the exhaust smells different between the two.

I keep asking her if I can restore it, but she won't let me. She likes the used look of it which gives it more character. It is also one of our most reliable starting tractors. She's sold on Molines!

Its like most of them, Ford isn't ford any more Oliver isn't allis isn't only 2 of the old names still going and they are useing Jap parts on some of what they put out. Its sad wish at least MM, Oliver and Ford where still around but maybe if they where some of the old iron would not be as much fun.

Your not alone in that kind of thinking but it is a real long story behind that. It wasn't that the equipent was bad "in my opion the best ever built" the company was just run very very poorly.
