Schrram Compressor x Engine Unit

I have an trailer mounted four cylinder outfit.The two center cylinders compress air .The two cyls. at opposite ends are the engines all on same crankshaft.While getting ready to test the thing out I noticed the Minneappolis Moline logo in bold 3/8" raised X 3" high letters cast on the side cover inspection plate.Does any one know if MM built these machines for Schramm?I had heard somewhere that IH built them.Or maybe both companies did at different times.

Hey-Could you post a picture of that compressor? Or e-mail it to me? I've never seen or heard anything on one.

Like you I have seen Schrammm compressors using IH engines (usually 6 cyl.) 3 pump, 3 for power. I think they use like a B or C farmall -maybe and H- transmission.

They may have made a model using an MM, though.

Hey! 1 more question: These cast covers-Do they cover the crankshaft or are there 2 that cover the rocker arms?

Thanks for the reply.I am not yet on to posting photos here but will send you one by mail as soon as I can get to it.I am running two farm operations and they are 200 miles apart so am real pushed for recreation.The cover plate you ask about is a side cover,and is heavy cast iron.This engine compressor unit is very obviously a specialized design and is definately not a conversion of any MM engine that I've ever seen,but the letters on casting are the identical type and style of Minn.Mo.
