I am looking for the MM emblem on the nose of a Jetstar3 super. I was told that someone in Ill. was making them but cannot find a way to get in touch with them. Thanks Chris

Mr. Sellars is my father. My name is Andy. Thanks for the compliment. The Minneapolis Moline people are a good bunch of people.

I have had reproduced the MM emblem that goes on the front of the Jet Star 3 Super, 302 Super, 670 Super, G-900, and G-1000.The original part number is 10A23808. The are made by the original equipment manufacturer and are made of embossed aluminum. They feature the correct colors of black letters, white background with aluminum trim around both letters and the actual square shape the the emblem. I have sold to Lester Wenzel and Welters for resale. I sell them for $30, which includes shipping and handling. If you want more information, e-mail or call me at 217-742-5249.

Andy: Did you ever start making the long signs that go on the side of the hood? I believe you were looking into them when I ordered my very nice MM sign from you.

Steve, I have not had them made yet, although I have been talking to the original equipment manufacturer about it. The original embossing plates were destroyed in a fire several years ago and we would have to start from square one as I did with the small MM nameplates. They can duplicate the long nameplates with the correct aluminum (type and thickness), the correct letter font, the right amount of height of the embossing, correct dimensions, and last but not least, the correct paint scheme. The only real problem is the cost of having them make the embossing plated is relativly high and there are two different size's. One size fits the G-900 and G-1000 while the smaller size fits the Jet Star 3 Supers, 302 Supers, and 670 Supers. This means two diffenent embossing plates and that doubles the price. Do you think the nameplates would be popular enough to sell and what would the interested people be willing to pay? With the small MM nameplates, I had to pay for the embossing plate and buy at least 100 pieces. With that being said, I am not in it to make a profit, just enjoyed making something that you can not get anymore. I've sold about 55 emblems and my profit is about 1.50 per emblem. It's a good thing I'm in the Grain farming and Hog raising business.(These days the hogs are very good) Let me know what you think and if anyone has any input, please share it. Thanks, Andy

Well on this subject I have two sets of the smaller ones I have bought here lately as trading material one set is NOS and the other is a good used set I paid the same for both sets at two different auctions and the was a good amount of attention paid and bidding when they went on sale. So I would say yes if you can keep the cost down.
