I'm restoring a 1954 MM BF Avery. The rims are rusted through at the valve stems. They are 30" x12" and they are adjustable on the axles.

30" Adjustable rims? What is the tire size?
Do they bolt to the drive plate (That has the lug bolts in it)

2 thoughts:

1. Would the drive plate fit in a 28" wheel? they're a lot more common than a 30" wheel.

2. How big is the hole? I've seen a welder put a patch in the valve stem hole, move over to another spot, swage the rim and put a 5/8" hole for the valve stem. When it was painted, you couldn't find the patch.
