UTU 12V light bulbs?

Converted my '50 UTU from 6 volt to 12 volt. Has anyone found 12V light bulbs for the front headlights that would fit right in.

If you are still using the old style reflector in them with the three studs you can get that style bulb from most antique auto car parts places. If you have the newer style bulbs that have the two pins on the bulb base than you can get those at any RV camper place. Both styles of bulbs have the big wide glass in them.

I think, if I remember correctly that I once went to the farm store and bought the brightest 12v light bulb that I could get with the 2 pins and then took the ring off of the old 6v bulb with a soldering iron and put it on the 12v bulb. Polish the brass or sand the bulb a little with sandpaper and use a little flux on it. Worked for me....deadeye
