All right Moline guys I'm looking for your input and experiance. I'm going to build my UTS next year for pulling and it's time to give those Oliver guys with 12 port heads and those big cube two cyl JD's a spankin. Heres what I'm looking at doing. 670 block and heads, custom pistons swinging from U rods, and offset ground G crank. What kind of power can be had with this combonation? Here's where I need Information, Where do I locate the pistons I need? What comp ratio works best, stock rpm. Any one have a G crank for sale? I don't know if the custom 5 3/4" blocks will fly with our club but interested in a price of blocks and pistons. Plan on removing cast center and installing tin wheels rear, removing hydralics, pto, belt pulley assembly. 18.4 feild and roads. Can I get down to 5500# or will it be closer to 6000#. I have charts with head information, information on indestructable 5.75 blocks, and sources on pistons and rods. From boring and a slight offset grind will get you 125 h.p. if you do it right, but the 5.75 bore will get you over 200 h.p. Blocks should be ok in your club. You don't need 800 blocks to make 5.75.
