I have a Minneapolis Moline Jet Star that needs new oil in the Transmission/rear-end. My manual does not cover how to changing the oil nor what type of oil to use. I purchased 10 gallons of 80/90 weight gear oil but then someone asked if the Ampli-torque system used the same source of oil and if so 80/90 weight might be too thick.

Does anyone have access to a Jet Star Manual that covers these items? If so are you willing to sell me the Manual or copy the Manual and sell me the copy or ???? I am hoping for the straight accurate skinny on this one.
Thanks
Job Guy

The manuals from these nice folks are the best reproductions for sure. WGM below is correct.

If you still need a manual give me a email. At work we have several M-M tractors manuals for sale at fair prices. The book you want is the operators manual. We also have parts for them. The Jet Star series are good tractors. I have a Jet Star 3 Super that I have owned for almost 25 years.

The manual calls for straight 90 wt. There are 2 drain plugs-one for the rear section, directly above the drawbar-should be a pipe plug with a 3/4" square or a 9/16" hex.

The other drain plug is on the left side, near the clutch pedal and opens toward the front of the tractor. It drains the amplitorque compartment.

The fill plug is on the shifter housing. There is a check plug (for fluid level) on the right side, near the brake pedals. There is also another check plug toward the front, on the amplitorque housing. That plug will only show oil after the tractor has been driven long enough to sling oil into the amplitorque compartment.

FYI: If it has a 3-point, the lift uses Dextron 3. (originally type S, not available as far as I know.) The 3-point and transmission don't use a common fluid, like Fords do.
