Hi everyone... I'm a long time reader, first time writer and would like to "pick the brains" of all the great minds on this forum!

I just brought home a 1958 UTSD-M for Turkey today (serial number 10800451) which is in fair condition. The engine is stuck, but the rear end, and transmission are free, the clutch works, the tin is complete and very straight with the exception of the bottom of the rear fenders, overall I'm pretty happy with it.

But now to my question. I was under the impression that all UTSD-M for Turkey tractors had an inline, German Bosch fuel pump. My tractor has an inline fuel pump, but has two tags on it that say "American Bosch". I thought that all American Bosch fuel pumps that were used on U diesels were of the rotary style. Thanks for any help.

Jason

Hi

I also just got a UTSDM. The serial on mine ends with 533. I just got it running, it was stuck also. Mine has clamshell fenders and the guy says it is the original as he bought it new. Every other U diesel I have seen has big crown fenders. What does yours have? Mine has the big American Bosch pump also. Any questions feel fee to email me.
