I was told there is a fella that machines 585 heads to accept regular injectors eliminating the fuel cells in a 585 motor. Who is it? How about 504?

I should have also added to my last post that I just had a set of heads off a 1370 case & set a MM 504 head gasket on one to see how things lined up. The Case heads are about 1 inch shorter than the MM 504 head & very few bolts would line up. The case engine is direct injection but has flat top pistons.

The cam is on the left side of a 585, the same as a 504. The bolt layout on a 585 is considerably different from a MM 504 & the valves & cam lobes are arranged differently (585-IEIE or EIEI, 504-EIIE)

585's are direct injection amd have no energy cells. They use pencil type injectors and have cavities in the top of the pistons.

I've heard rumors of reworking case heads for MM pullers but never seen one.
