hi, Have any of you guys done any research into the colors used on the MM plows from the forties and fifties? Was it the same as they used on the tractors? I am cleaning up a 2-16 solid mold board plow that is on rubber. A friend tells me he thinks moline used a slightly different paint on their impliments. I think moline probably used the same paint just applied less of it. Plows almost always sat outside so it did not last long anyway. If I don't learn anything new I'll paint it MM prairie gold and red anyway. I was Just wondering if any body else has thought about this.

The colors are the same. The only dfference being that the implement is red and the wheels are Prarie Gold, just the opposite of the tractors.

As far as I know they used the same paint as on the tractors. Most all literature from that era
I believe shows the same. Someone was also making the "MM Acme Steel" decals on the back of the moldboards. I may have some plow lays if you need some. Also have a trip rope holder which you might like to have for plowing.

The place to get the decals is R-M distributors. If you send me a email I can send you a copy of what they have and a phone number.
