Is an M5 hydraulic system open center or closed? Is there a pressure relief valve somewhere in the system? If so where?

The M5 system is open center. The relief valve on three point equipped models can be accessed through the hole that has the two levers on the cover (held on with 4 7/16 cap screws) under the seat. The valve is clear toward the lift cylinder side of the hole. It has a tapered poppet type valve, a spring, an adapter between the spring & an allen head setscrew with a locknut (which is used to adjust relief pressure).
There is also a priority valve in the pump which allots the first quantity of oil to the steering system which has its own relief valve in the control valve for the steering.
