I just bought a farm ( actually I close on it in about 2 hours) anyway, the man we got it from also threw in all his equipment and tractor. It is an MM and I think it said 4 star on the label plate. I used it a few days ago disking the pasture there and it pulled great considering how big the disk was. My super c wouldn"t have done it! The throttle is pretty touchy on it and the thing has numerous leaks and it needs a new muffler but all in all it did just fine. I"ve got numerous questions about it;
It"s gonna need a tune up and all the filters and fluids changed out. The previous owner is in his 80"s and was just unable to maintain it anymore so I figured better safe than sorry on that. I need a source for all the things I will need and recommendations for oils and all. Also it is a propane tractor. I never really liked them before but when I used this one and it didn"t stink or smoke even when pulling very hard I kinda made up my mind to leave it alone. All I have ever had before is gas or 4 legged tractors. I"ve worked several years at a case Kubota dealera as a mechanic and the pains I had with propane there just turned me off. Should I leave it or no? My super c farmall is gas and runs perfect and it will only mean storing 2 different kinds of fuel is all I guess. Well if anyone has any info on this type of tractor please let me know. I got planting to do in the next week or so and want to make sure she"s good to go. Thanks

I would leave it alone,lp is a pain unless your set up for it with a tank and a pump to fill it. I have a couple, would like to have a 4 star if you want to sell it let me know.

What area of the world are you in? I may be able to help, I'm in Chi/Mil area. Please leave it LP, if it's too much of a problem, sell or trade it for another fuel type. MM was a leader in the LP field and that's a nice example. 4 Stars are an awesome tractor, don't compare to the Super C, as the 4 Star is around 40 HP and the C is in the 25/30 range. Apples/oranges?? Just my 2 cents. John
