BF Avery relation to Cockshutt 20

I was at a tractor pull recently and took a good look at a Cockshutt 20 that was there. It appears to have the identical rear end as my MM BF tractor has. I compared casting numbers and they are the same. I understand Avery bought the rights to this tractor from Cletrac/Oliver and they may have had close ties with Cockshutt. Any ideas?

Interestingly enough there is green paint under the prairie gold on the PTO unit of my BF. Could it be Oliver?

The same outside vendor made both transmissions and final drives. Probably Clark or Borg Warner. Also, transmission is suspiciously like the transmission in a CA Allis Chalmers. Also very similar to Oliver Super 44.

Yes, your pto could be Oliver. they used a variation of that same tranny in ther OC? Crawlers.

Actually Cleatrac designed (or someone designed for them.) the original wheel tractor and crawler in about 1939. when they sold out/merged/whatever, with Oliver. B.F. Avery ended up with the wheel tractor. Oliver got the little crawler.
