My question: Can the ampli-torc Drive be removed permanently from the tractor? And if it can what goes in its place.

I know I will loose the high and low range option. But for my tractor use I don't need this option.

Thanks in advance for your help!

HH

I have a similiar problem with a M602 "Ampli-Torc". The low range went out about 10 years ago, and we just kept using it. Recently, it suddenly stopped, and I think the high range went out, but I am not sure. There are kits to convert some Oliver tractors to direct drive, but I don't know if there is such a thing for MM. I'll let you know if I learn more about it.

Some industrial tractors had a reverse shuttle.

I don't know this for fact-but I expect some industrial applications just had a 5 speed.

I'm guessing you're taking this tractor 'pulling. Can't figure why you'd want to take it out unless you want to get rid of a little weight. Otherwise just tighten the clutch and run on the high side, like I do.

I feel like I am intruding here but the Jet Star 3 caught my attention. I am looking at an LP model JS 3 and it has several missing parts, like one is the water pump. Can anyone give me a parts supplier or have any parts? I may need the hood?
I could not find any info on production of different JS 3 models can anyone steer me to that info, if it exists.

Thanks Jim I"ll try Wendell. Looks like I may need to held get a 445 going as the water pump just started leaking and may need some seals/bearings for it also.
Thanks again.
