A guy I work with has a G1000 Vista hes looking to sell me and the only thing he says is wrong with it is the PTO wont shut off. Is this a big undertaking on this tractor I've never owned a MM before and I'm not real familiar with them but this sure is a nice looking tractor and a real big looking brute too.But I want to farm with it so this has to work properly for me. Are these tractors hard to get parts for used or new? Is there any week points to this model I should look for or be aware of? Thanks for your help in advance.

It is one of MM's best tractors. I had one for 34 yrs. The pto brake needs adjusting, but it's a big job. you need to remove the 3 pt hitch to adjust the brake band. Parts are still plentiful. hope this helps Larry

If you shut the tractor off and hook up the pto shaft, the weight of the implment shaft or load usually stops the tractor pto shaft from turning until you put it in gear.
