has anybody added an inch stroke to a 403 ? i would like to put 4.810 pistons in it also . any help would be greatly appreciated . i want to go tractor pulling .

I have put an 1.5 on a 403 and i have heard of some that have 2 inches on them. Some guys were using M farmall rods and some U moline rods on the short block engines.

What size rod journal with 1.5 inch stroke added?

2.75 rod journal but it takes a lot of grinding. A smaller rod journal and a custom made rod would be nice if a guy can afford it.
