What applications was the MM 220 cubic inch engine used for? I am aware of the Jet Star 3, forklift, and stationary power units. Any others? Thanks.

The JetStar3 has a 206 engine not a 220.
The 220 used in a Big Mo 400 M (military) uses different bearings and the blocks are a different height than a normal 220 used in U302, power units and forklifts. John

I think I have an M220 power unit. Maybe HD220. Not sure. What is the block number, what is the difference in blocks, and why are they taller?

I don't know why the Military blocks are taller. I just know that my father put a set on his U302 & could never get a reasonable amount of power from it. When we took it apart, the pistons didn't come to the top as they do on a normal 220 engine. Replaced the blocks & pistons with normal 220 ones & it is fine.

I'd have to go look for the block number on the Big Mo 400. The U302 block should be 11A20903.

The M220 in my Big Mo 400 has a slip in style starter instead of the 3 bolt starter used by the 220 engines in the U302.
