I want to get a used round baler but all i have for a tractor is a minnie 445 that i am in the process of overhauling right now. i want something that makes a smaller bale, but becuase of what i can afford, might not be able to find one. at this time, i have seen a local dealer that has a 831 new holland (i think this is what it is) it is all chain with no belts. do i have enought tractor with the 445 to handle a round baler, or should i just look for a small square baler instead. thanks,,,,Gary

Yes you have plenty of tractor to run a small round baler. I would recommend one of the 4X4 new hollands The 630 634 638 and 730 are all good balers. You also should look at the smaller New idea round balers. I have a customer that runs a 630 New Holland with a 35 HP Kubot

You better look for a small square baler!
