Looking at a 4 Star MOLINE WITH A 5 Speed transmision. It slips out out of 3rd gear. The owner says that they all have that problem. Do they?

I'd pass on it. None of them should come out of gear, if it does it has issues.

I've got a 4 Star, Brown Jet, and a Big Mo 400, none of them jump out of any gear. The thing to look for if it has a TA, is does it move in LO range, the torque lever pulled back.If it doesn't, needs repair and can get pricy. If it moves, seems to have some pulling power, I wouldn't worry about the 3rd gear, use 2 and 4, but the price should be down.IF you buy it, don't use the LO range until the trans is fully warmed up.

I've got a 4 star Super. It has never jumped out of any gear.

Neither has mine. The universal problem with Molines is the low side of the Ampli-torque. Most of them are weak or out.
