MM Drill Question

I just saved a real nice MM Drill from the scrap metal man. It is a model R-5-10.

After I got it home I noticed that this drill does not have the traditional style adjustments.

There is a seed sowing chart printed on the inside of the drill, but there are no dials or levers to adjust the flow of seed. There seem to be small adjusters on each of the tops of the drop tubes.

I realize if I were to use this drill, I would need a manual, but I was wondering if anyone else out there had a drill set up this way.

I have owned other MM drills and none like this one.

Were these adjusted by changing out drive gears?

JC,

Sounds like you have a double-run drill as opposed to the fluted type. The amount of grain metered out is done by changing gears and by the little covers that can be changed from one run to the other - double-run. Hope this helps.

Jim
