Does anyone know if a belly sickle mower from a 445 Universal will fit on a 335 utility? I have a manual showing an "SO" belly mower on a 335. Did they make other belly sickle mowers other than the "SO" in the late fifties for 335/445 tractors?

I think John Grandfield had a 335 with belly mower on it. I do not know the mower model, but he may be able to tell you.

I have the afore mentioned 335 with the mid mount sickle mower, 5' bar. It is a 335 utility, cheapest thing MM could make in '58, no PTO, 3 point, PS, TA, only has 8x24" tires. It has a big hyd pump mounted on the rear which powers the mower. A C Anderson, model E37, Wildwood, NJ manufactured it.It was origionally owned by the City of Chicago, Tony & Laurie Martin have a twin to it up in northern WI. Mine was blue, theirs still is, the decals of the City are still readable on theirs.

Back to the origional question, I have SO operators manual # S-249. It refers to the installation on the 335, 445 utility, industrial and universal tractors. The pictures all seem to show the 335 except when they show the difference on the 445 models. So this was made to fit the 445 models.

Thanks for all of the replies. The repair catalog I have is a R-2000A. Upon further study, it list several different mounting brackets for different tractors 335/445U,etc I will try bolting it up and see what happens!
