Friend has a MM tractor and needs some imfo. Ser. # is RTE 44900028.What does the E stand for. What year made. Looks like a row crop with a wide front end . Never seen one like it before. Engine Ser # 0174900572 3 5/8x4 Frank

Other fellas know the serial years, but the "E" Is for wide adjustable front axle in model. Think rest is all same on tractor. U=universal with narrow front, and N, I think is the single wheel fronts. Wish mine was the RTE.

The year of the tractor is a 1949, one of only a handful of years that RTEs were produced. They are, in my opinion, one of the more sought-after R series tractors.

For more info on RTEs and the R series in general, including MM's serial numbering systems (which allowed me to tell the year of this tractor instantenously, without having to look at a serial number book), you might want to check out my book on MM tractors. See the website link provided. Thanks!

Just found out this tractor is for sale. I am not intrested in buying. Maybe someone out there is . Located in Saskatchewan Canada. Tractor runs good , real good tin. Owner doesn't know what its worth. Frank
