I have a MM mower that I need help with.
To see pictures of this mower please go to:

Link

It has a single trail wheel, semi mounted, belt driven, belt can be moved to a second groove in both the top and bottom pulley to change pitman speed. 7 foot bar, hand lift, two gear boxes.

I bought this at an auction and spent a few days bringing it back to life. It is a wonderful mower, very quiet and smooth.

I need to know what model I have and approximate year so I can get a manual for it.

The model ID plate is long gone.

Also, I am restoring a UM-5 mower and need several parts. Email me if you can help.

Thanks for your information!

What you're describing sounds like a model MO. I didn't see the pictures, I'm one of those poor individuals on dial-up, looked like it would take at least 10 minutes to load.

Pto goes through a cast (oil/bearing) box,to double pulley on rear, down to smaller double pulley on a similar oil/bearing box, with about a 2-1/2" round bar in it to hold sickle, pitman is driven from front of lower box.

Frame is channel Iron, semmetrical, goes around boxes to caster wheel in center rear.

If it is a MO, as far as I know, there was never a tag. I have 3 of them, 7' 6' 5'. None have tags, or any place they were apparrently mounted.

Yes, they are good mowers. This year is the first since 1955 that ours has not yet been hooked to our 1954 ZB.
