I bought a power unit and I am unsure what I have. It has 10A5856 heads, later style crankcase like a Jet Star 3, and a lift bracket on top. It was set up for LP and has a magneto that runs off the sidecover on the crankcase. I though it was a 220 but could be a 206. What do I have here and how do I tell? There is no tag. Should I check block #'s? Another empty crankcase I have has an HD220 tag. It has a strange oil filter off the side. What is the difference between a 220, HD220, and M220 (A&B)? M220 may mean military? Thanks fellas.

Block part number for 206 in Jetstar3 super is 11A5834B (The basic casting may omit the B or use an A in place of it.)

Block part number for 220 in U302 is 11A20903.

Hope this helps.

Also, the U302 I had apart had the cylinder bores cast "siamesed"-joined together at the bottom of the block. All the 206 blocks I have seen have separate round bores there.
That might be one way to check if the side cover is off.
